I don’t really need another jade plant, but this leaf became a baby jade plant and I couldn’t ignore it. So, I put it on top of some succulent mix potting soil. We’ll see what happens. 🪴

Spinning some Border Cheviot roving purchased from Long Way Homestead. Spinning thick, for me. And trying to do a long draw, something I have never done before. I have the hope that this yarn, as a two ply, will be squishy and cosy.
I’ve been loving my new Majacraft Susie Pro spinning wheel, except for the bobbin rattle. I finally managed to silence it with Vaseline on the flyer shaft and a felt washer made from a furniture pad; sticky half sliced off, and hole punched to fit on the shaft, before sliding the bobbin back on.
Goose on the roof. I think the mate was up there, too, but I couldn’t see it.
Cat is a little jealous of the attention I’m giving to this attempt at counted cross stitch on 32 count linen.
Trail snack.
My husband brought home some fresh oysters yesterday, given to him by a guy with an oyster lease. I ate 5 of them for lunch. Dredged them in lightly season flour and pan fried them. Ate them with lemon and hot sauce. Probably the healthiest lunch I’ve eaten all week.
